From start to finish, our kitchen renovation was an outstanding experience, and the end result has completely exceeded our expectations. The transformation from the original space to what we have now is remarkable, but what truly sets this project apart is the people behind it, the quality of workmanship, and the level of care taken at every stage of the process.

The craftsmanship throughout the kitchen is exceptional. Every detail — from the cabinetry and benchtops to the finishes and installation — has been completed to a very high standard. The kitchen feels solid, refined, and thoughtfully designed. Nothing feels rushed or overlooked, and it’s clear that pride was taken in every aspect of the work. The result is a kitchen that is not only visually stunning but also highly functional and built to last.

Dream Doors Kitchens, owned and run by Brady and his wife Bree, managed the entire renovation seamlessly. One of the biggest advantages of working with Dream Doors was that they took care of everything — including all electrical and plumbing work — using their hand-picked, trusted local tradespeople. This removed a huge amount of stress and meant the project ran smoothly from start to finish without the need to coordinate multiple contractors ourselves.

Brady was incredibly helpful during the design phase, taking the time to discuss different layout possibilities and design options in detail. He guided us through selecting all the materials for the cabinetry and benchtops, offering practical advice and thoughtful suggestions based on experience. His approach made the design process feel collaborative and reassuring, and the final result reflects that careful planning.

Bree’s communication throughout the entire renovation was outstanding. She kept us informed at every stage, responded quickly to questions, and ensured timelines and expectations were clear. Having such consistent and reliable communication made the entire process feel organised and stress-free.

The installation itself was led by Ben, who was exceptional. Ben clearly knows exactly what he is doing and brings an incredible level of skill to his work. His attention to detail is second to none, and it was obvious that he was striving for perfection in everything he did. The precision and care he took during installation played a huge role in the final quality of the kitchen, and his workmanship truly shows in the finished space.

In addition, Winning Appliances Brookvale supplied all of our new kitchen appliances, and they were excellent to deal with. Eva was incredibly attentive and spent a great deal of time with us ensuring every appliance choice was exactly right. From sinks and taps to cookers and appliances, she guided us through all the options with care and expertise. Eva had everything covered, and her attention to detail made the selection process feel easy and enjoyable.

Overall, the entire project was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine expertise. The collaboration between Dream Doors Kitchens, and their trades resulted in a kitchen that exceeds expectations in both design and functionality.

Belrose Kitchen Renovation: Creating a Larger Family Kitchen Without Extending the Home

When Lucy and Mark approached Dream Doors Kitchens, their Belrose kitchen was already a functional and well-maintained space. However, like many family homes, the kitchen no longer reflected the way they wanted to live, cook and entertain. While the existing kitchen featured traditional off-white cabinetry and dark benchtops, it felt disconnected from the style of the rest of the home and lacked the practical storage solutions that modern families rely on. Most importantly, the layout wasn’t making the best use of the available space. Rather than undertaking a costly extension, the homeowners wanted to create a brighter, more functional kitchen that better suited their lifestyle while working within the home’s existing footprint.

The Design Challenge

The original kitchen had several features that were limiting its functionality:
  • Storage that relied heavily on cupboards rather than drawers.
  • Limited preparation space around the cooking zone.
  • No dedicated beverage or entertaining area.
  • A redundant doorway that reduced the amount of usable kitchen space.
One of the biggest opportunities lay in the home’s traffic flow. The kitchen originally had two separate entry points—one leading to the front foyer and another to an adjoining living room. Because the living room was already accessible via the foyer, the second kitchen doorway was not necessary and occupied valuable wall space. By removing this additional opening, we were able to significantly improve the layout and create a larger, more functional kitchen without extending the home.

Reimagining the Layout

The removal of the redundant doorway unlocked the potential of the entire space. The new design included:
  • A new appliance tower.
  • A larger fridge space.
  • Additional drawer storage.
  • Expanded preparation space around the cooktop.
  • Improved workflow throughout the kitchen.
The result is a kitchen that feels substantially larger and more organised, completely replacing the old layout which featured:

  • Larger kitchen footprint through smarter layout design.

From Dark and Heavy to Bright and Timeless

The visual transformation is immediately noticeable.

The original dark benchtops were replaced with Caesarstone Alpine Mist, creating a fresh, light-reflective surface that instantly brightened the entire room.

To complement the new benchtops, the cabinetry was finished in satin matt white polyurethane with a timeless shaker-style profile. The crisp white palette creates a sense of openness while perfectly complementing the warm timber flooring throughout the home.

The result is a kitchen that feels brighter, more spacious and better connected to the surrounding living areas.

A Feature Splashback

The existing glass splashback was replaced with handmade white subway tiles, introducing subtle texture and character without overwhelming the space.

White grout and colour-matched silicone were selected to create a seamless finish, while under-cabinet LED lighting highlights the handcrafted detail and adds warmth and ambience in the evenings.

Together, these elements create a feature that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Smarter Storage Throughout

Functionality was a major focus of this kitchen renovation.

Several traditional cupboards were replaced with large drawer banks, making everyday items easier to access and organise.

Storage improvements included:

  • Seven Blum soft-close drawer systems.
  • Integrated double pull-out bins.
  • Larger preparation areas around the cooktop and sink.
  • Improved organisation throughout the kitchen.

These changes have transformed the day-to-day usability of the space, making cooking, cleaning and entertaining easier for the homeowners.

Creating an Entertaining Zone

Beyond the main kitchen, the renovation included the creation of a dedicated beverage station and bar area.

This previously underutilised space was transformed into a practical entertaining hub featuring:

  • Custom cabinetry.
  • Built-in bar fridge space.
  • Additional storage.
  • Bar sink and tap.
  • Matching finishes that seamlessly connect with the main kitchen.
